Nigeria Police Academy: The Nigerian Police Academy (NPA) is a federally operated university tasked with the responsibility of training professional Nigerian police officers.

The Nigerian police academy was founded in 1988 after needs concerning the quality and efficiency of the Nigerian police force came up. The British Government sent a team to check the training needs of the Nigerian force.
